Synopsis:
Interim State- A state between death and resurrection. A place known as Purgatory. Once a land for those souls that needed redemption it has now become a vast wasteland filled with the lost. God has been silent for years leaving it up to the Metatron to take control of Heaven, and leaving the Angels to run it. With Heaven in disarray souls have started to fall through the cracks. Men and Women who have died are now ending up in Purgatory, when they should be in Heaven and Hell. In order to right the balance Angels have drafted select lost souls. People chained to Purgatory force to carry out contracts with Heaven in order to reclaim their souls. They are known as Charons or Ferrymen. Their job is to hunt down lost souls and send them to their proper place, heaven or hell. One man has man has been doing this for years his name is Pontius Pilate.
