Fifteen-year-old Retsuko Toriyama just wants to go to medical school in the Akhenaton to cure her family’s illness when she finds herself transferred to Holzschuer University. There she learns about the parasitic entities known as EGOs and befriends several people in possession of these ability-amplifying beings. Just when her life is beginning to settle down, EGOs without hosts begin to appear and are drawn to her. This sparks the interest of a secret government organization to hunt her down… by all means necessary.
