Synopsis:
When a mysterious Chinese traveling shoppe owner sells two friends a strange game, what might have been your average virtual adventure turns into a story far more real than either of the two had bargained for. Jacen and Tracie's unexpected arrival into a strange new land interrupts a battle between the games villain and a group of heroes, accidentally turning the battle in the villain's favor. Mortally wounded, the hero has only enough time to pass on an enigmatic mark-- the Mark of Portent--to Jacen, the only person left who can carry on his quest. Now, trapped inside the game's roles, but unbound by its rules, Jacen and Tracie must journey through the bizarre and enigmatic world of Nevara in search of answers. Aided by other characters and hunted by enemies, only they will be able to uncover the mystery behind the Mark of Portent, those who seek it, and the plans of the strange being who sent them there. However, as much as Jacen and Tracie think they have mastered the workings of the game, there is still something very unusual about the rules.
