Synopsis:
Gail Scott was a pilot in the British Air Transport Auxiliary in the second world war. In 1946 she finds herself, fellow pilot and WW1 ace Sir Robert Laverock and his engineering prodigy daughter Lynn, all unemployed and with no prospects of the exciting wartime jobs that they had had. Then they are approached by the mysterious Mentor, who has a mission that needs pilots. The mission began a million years ago and coontinues in outer space.
