Synopsis:
It's 2098, at the end of a strange and troubled century. A young woman named Sent drives a dilapidated 2062 Sunbeetle across the Sovereign States of North America, scavenging and performing magic shows.

Sent grew up in a walled community of the Antiquarian Church, which believes that continued technological growth is inherently evil.

While parts of the Sovereign States have stagnated over the last century, others march steadily towards the future. Contact with modern culture and people challenges Sent's beliefs and faith in her community. She must ultimately come to terms with issues such as the abolishment of technology versus control of it, the difference between human and intelligent machine, and her own role in the world.
