Synopsis:
Hel's Song is a postmodern retelling of Viking mythology narrated by Hel, the daughter of Loki. Hel gives us her perspective as the adversary of the ruling gods, as well as a look at the conflicted existence of a humanist and agnostic deity. Using a combination of surrealistic comic book imagery and a variety of diverse religious symbols, Hel\'s Song is an illuminated text that references such philosophies as Christianity, Satanism, Thelema, Discordianism, Chaos Magic, Taoism, atheism, metaphysics, and comparative myth, as examined by an outraged demigod. The first book tells of crimes against Hel and her family, the story of her true love, and how it would doom the world.
