Welcomed amongst the humans, they settled down in harmony but were gradually going extinct from lack of children. That is until Mango's mother broke taboo and eloped into a love match - coincidentally discovering she could breed with a human! Despite saving her kind, mother and child are outcast. Grown now from that child into a young warrior, Mango works guarding a farm from monsters, and dreams of glory and a return from exile.
