Synopsis:
CHUMBA is my first attempt at a web comic. I became inspired to write this story after moving to Portland, Oregon. My wife and I often go on nature hikes and Portland has (without a doubt) some of the most beautiful nature trails I have ever come across.
The story of Chumba started way back in my college years and has evolved a great deal since then. Chumba represents a whole world based somewhat upon our own, but untouched by human intervention. The creatures that inhabit this world are very rooted to the nature that surrounds them. They survive by forming tribes within their species.
The story of Chumba tells of one small creature and his relationship to the world. He is born into this world alone and is guided by powerful spirits. These spirits send him on a quest to find the powerful mother tree "Ooma". For only she holds the answers to questions about his existence.
