Synopsis:
The Hart Family has a special gift. They can make things look like other things. For hundreds of years, this gift for illusion earned them a secure place in society--until the advent of the television satelite age. An image televised by satellite can be changed, too, and when the most powerful living member of the Hart family, the King creates the illusion, everyone watching sees it.
Jack Hart does not want to become a puppet of a government or of a church, nor does he want to get killed by those who want to protect the world from his power. So, when he suddenly finds that he is his family's new King, he does the only thing he can do. He runs.
