Comic: Tales of the Twin Moons |
Over a millenium ago, Aülfkind lived prosperously between their home planet of Astrid and the moon, the jewel of the skies, Phoenicia.
Then the Cataclysm came -an Enemy of their own creation- and stripped bare their home, forcing them to retreat to the moon.
With much reduced technology and just a fraction of the population intact, it was almost nine hundred years before anyone dared to launch an expedition to their lost homeworld and fifty years since that first tenuous footstep on scorched soil.
Settlers have since divided into five major cities and various villages outside of their protective barriers, but the wild weather caused by the Enemy’s weapon still rages on, as does the hunt to uncover lost treasures of a previous, more enlightened Age.
On the neighbouring moon, Aliora, (described by those Phoenicians who have briefly been there as a ‘savage reflection of her twin’), has been occupied sometime in the past centuries by a race known only as ‘daemons’. Towering, winged creatures with titan-like strength, that appeared as if from nowhere but made the red moon their own. Their relations with Aülfkind are strained and wary but by and large, friendly enough in most matters.
These are the tales of the twin moons.
