| Nobody Scores is one of my favorite webcomics. Its protracted tales of catastrophe, subtly incisive social commentary, and anarchic sense of humor never fail to crack me up. I just wish it were currently updating! Maybe someday it will update regularly again. |

| Rob and Elliot takes a cliche premise--the madcap adventures of two wacky roommates--and injects it full of originality and craftsmanship. webcomic humor, even among the best comics, is often formulaic, sometimes to the point where you can predict the punchlines from the setup. I have never had this problem with R&E, which consistently comes out of left field with genuine absurdity. and did I mention the art is good? the art is good! |

| in a comic where everything is relatively down-to-earth and realistic, it's the characters and humor that will keep you coming back for more. and Multiplex has both. great movie gags, and a solid ongoing storyline! if you haven't given it a look already, it's worth your time. check it out. |

| it's not quite the bottom of the barrel. I mean, if I could rate the artwork and site design alone, I'd give 'em both a 4. but the humor is entirely derivative and unoriginal, and not especially funny either. too many webcomickers are under the impression that just because they're making comics that are so offensive they'd give your mom an aneurysm, that makes them humorous. |

quality artwork and writing; Krahulik and Holkins really pay attention to their craftsmanship. creative and opinionated. but you already knew that.
and where else can you find an automatic juicer that has sex with fruit? or Dr. Raven Darktalon Blood, generic gun-toting McFarlanesque dark hero? or the Adventures of Twisp and Catsby? you know, if you keep tuning into this comic long enough, you'll eventually forget just how weird and bizarre some of this stuff really is. |

| very nearly comic-book quality artwork. hilariously bizarre premise, even more bizarre plotlines, and the punchlines are just so bizarre I can't even describe it. easily one of the most creative comics out there, and extremely entertaining. I just wish the guys would update more frequently! |

obnoxious. tasteless. hyperactive.
and extremely funny.
some of the gags won't make you laugh so much as cringe (MGS3's Snake with a bad case of crotch leeches comes readily to mind), but VG Cats has solid artwork that's only improved from the start, and the outrageous humor will make you laugh out loud just as often as it offends--if not more often. one of my favorite things about the strip is the phenomenally weird cast of supporting characters. |

| PStP is basically another comic trying to be Penny Arcade. the crazy thing is, every now and then they succeed. sometimes quite funny. sharp, colorful, stylized artwork. fairly derivative, but there's some quality here. |

| I myself enjoy it a lot. some of the allusions pass right over my head, but I love its social criticisms and Cat's ridiculous quasi-non-sequiturs. perhaps too clever for its own good? well...perhaps. but that's also a compliment. |

| likeable and outrageously funny characters, with a clever look at the (only somewhat exaggerated) absurdities of retail work. Willis' art style has come a long way since the very first Roomies! strips, too. Shortpacked for the win! |

| so it's not for everyone. but Dinosaur Comics is SMART. if you don't mind the recycled artwork and the uber-absurdist, cerebral yet silly humor, you'll find that it can be a darn hilarious webcomic. North is continually playing with the limitations of his chosen format, his decision to recycle the same bare-bones clipart for his comic is seriously gutsy, and the fact that he makes it actually funny is a testament to his writing talent. Dinosaur Comics is all kinds of awesome...well, maybe not ALL kinds, but certainly a whole lot. Several, anyway. |

| okay, so Real Life starts with a handful of cliches--reality comics, comics breaking the fourth wall, gaming comics, and sci-fi cliches like evil geniuses and dimensional teleporters. but it somehow manages to fuse them all together into an original arrangement! Greg Dean is one of the more hardcore updaters out there, and while the humor can be hit-or-miss, it's "hit" more often than not. the art is simple, but well-executed, and it gets the job done. bottom line, RL is worth checking out. |
