Hyper Mediocre is a weekly cartoon drawn by Alexander Cates, an Austrian born US resident living in Chicago, Illinois.

The comic explores an outsider\'s perspective of the United States and its culture, as well as short stories exploring what it means to be a boxhead, a German. Inspired by Matt Groening\'s LIFE IN HELL series.
